AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) & SEO for Florists

We’ve been very busy building new tools to help florists attract more customers through search engines and AI engines.

As part of this strategy, we’ve added three key features to your Flower Store In a Box website:

What is AEO?

In simple terms, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is the next step in SEO.

Instead of just keywords, people are now asking full questions when searching — especially when talking to AI assistants. For example, instead of typing “flower delivery Melbourne”, people ask:

  • “Do you deliver flowers to Melbourne?”
  • “What’s the cut-off time for same-day delivery in Melbourne?”

AEO helps your website answer these questions directly, in a structured way, so both search engines and AI engines can confidently use your answers.

Why is AEO Important?

Google, Bing, and AI engines are now showing summaries at the top of search results and answering customer questions directly.

If you want your business to be the one featured, you need your website to provide clear, factual answers. AEO makes that possible.

For florists, this is especially powerful — customers want quick answers about delivery times, pricing, payment options, and product suitability. If you answer these questions well, AI engines will start doing the marketing for you.

AEO for Florists: Example Questions

Delivery Page

  • What is your same-day delivery cut-off time?
  • How much does delivery cost?
  • Do you deliver on weekends and public holidays?
  • What happens if the recipient isn’t home?
  • Can I request a specific delivery time?
  • Do you deliver to hospitals, schools, or workplaces?
  • Do you offer international flower delivery?

Product Pages

  • Can I include a personal message or card with this bouquet?
  • Is this product suitable for delivery to a hospital?
  • Can I customise this bouquet with extra flowers or colours?
  • Are the flowers exactly as shown in the picture?
  • What size is the “Standard” / “Deluxe” option?

Product Category Pages

  • What types of flowers are best for birthdays?
  • Do you offer sympathy and funeral flowers?
  • Are your roses sourced locally?
  • Do you offer eco-friendly or sustainable flowers?

SEO Suburb Landing Pages

  • Do you deliver to Suburb Name?
  • What’s the delivery fee for Suburb Name?
  • Can I get same-day delivery in Suburb Name?
  • What’s the cut-off time for same-day delivery to Suburb Name?

About Page

  • How long has your florist been in business?
  • Are you an independent florist or part of a network?
  • Do you have a physical store I can visit?
  • Do you provide wedding, corporate, or event flowers?

Homepage

  • Why should I choose [Florist Brand Name] for my flowers?
  • Do you guarantee freshness and quality?
  • What payment methods do you accept?
  • Is it safe to order flowers online from your website?

Blog Posts

If you have blog articles, you can add FAQs that connect to the content. For example:

Blog: “The Meaning of Red Roses”

  • What do red roses symbolise?
  • Are red roses suitable for anniversaries?
  • Can I get same-day delivery for red roses?

Rules for Writing FAQs

  • FAQs must be relevant to the page they’re on.
  • Don’t copy the same FAQ across multiple pages.
  • Answers must be factual and consistent with your website.
  • Never contradict information elsewhere (like pricing or policies).
  • Keep answers short, clear, and in your brand’s voice.

How to Build Your AEO Strategy

  1. Write down common customer questions about your business, products, and delivery.
  2. Organise them by page type (Delivery, Products, About, etc.).
  3. Choose the most important ones — don’t overload a page.
  4. Add them into your website using the new FAQ tool:
    • Open the page you want (product, category, blog, delivery, etc.).
    • Scroll to the bottom — you’ll see the new FAQ panel.
    • Add your Q&A, drag to re-order, and save.

The FAQs will display as a click-to-expand list and will also be added in structured data so search engines and AI engines can use them.

Quick Summary

  • AEO = Answer Engine Optimisation → the future of SEO.
  • Use it to answer customer questions directly.
  • Add FAQs to Delivery pages, Product pages, Category pages, SEO Suburb pages, About page, Homepage, and Blogs.
  • Keep Q&As clear, relevant, and factual.
  • Publish with the Flower Store In a Box FAQ tool.
