Have you ever wondered where your website is physically located and what it actually takes to run a data centre? We use a co-located (just means we share with many other big businesses) data centre called Equinox with locations all across the world. The data centre was opened in 2016 and is home to many large financial services and online payment start-ups. It's an extremely secure facility and is located just outside the main centre of Sydney in Alexandria. And here are a few pictures of the facility: 
Far from the beauty of the finished websites the servers are secured in cages that are monitored 24 hours a day seven days a week. And as you would expect security is exceptionally tight to keep your information safe and secure! Read more about the data centre here (and credits for the images)
