I am an avid instagrammer, I post at least one if not more pictures on instagram every day.
It's my personal instagram account so a lot of the pictures are of my beagles, sunsets, sunrises, food and quite a lot of flowers. I love flowers and that's probably why I enjoy working with so many florist around the world even though my specialty is technology. I was blown away recently by an amazing campaign another florist was using on instagram to drive traffic to their website. I recently had some glorious peonies given to me by a very kind client and I instagrammed them in my home and used some hashtags including: #florist #flowers In amongst the likes and the comments I came across a comment from an account called Web Floral Store. So being the inquisitive person I am (read I'm always seeing what florists are doing online) I had a look at their instagram profile and I was fascinated by what I discovered.
They have only made 6 posts but they have almost 3500 followers and are following over 4000 other people. I then took a look at their website and discovered a website under construction with a form for a mailing list. They are using instagram to drive traffic to their upcoming website It's quite ingenious really, they are using instagram to drive traffic to their new website and you can do this in a few easy steps too!
- Search for hashtags on instagram, like flowers, floral, florist
- Then Like the picture and leave a comment
- Make sure you have your website address in your instagram profile and people will be curious and visit your website and like your instagram profile
- Repeat as often as you want!
