How does the Flower Store In a Box Florist Order Workflow work?

There are two types of workflow options you can choose from:

Advanced Workflow

Where you have multiple stores or florists that fulfill the orders and you want to allocate the order to a person or store.  The Workflow would look like:

  • Order received
  • Order is Allocated to a Store / Florist (this can be automated)
  • Order is Made by Florist / Store and marked waiting pickup in store or by driver
  • Driver / Courier is booked
  • Order is Picked Up
  • Order is Delivered

Simple Workflow

Where you are a smaller store and just want to manage the workflow with only one login.

The workflow would look like:

  • Order received
  • Order is Marked as Printed / Making
  • Order is Made and is then marked as waiting pickup in store or by driver
  • Order is Picked Up
  • Order is Delivered

The main difference between the two options is in the advanced version you can set who makes the order and you can choose drivers.

You may choose to have a hybrid version of the two where you have only one florist that “makes the orders” but you might have multiple drivers or use the driver list as driver runs IE:

  • Morning Driver
  • Afternoon Driver

Why should I be using the new workflow?

The new workflow will allows your business to manage the entire ordering, making and delivery process electronically and if used correctly provides visibility on where in the process each order is at any one time.

The workflow and customer notifications provide an easy to use way of keeping the customer informed at each step of the process.  This can reduce the phone calls asking “has my order been delivered” and can create better customer retention.

Getting started with the new workflow

The new workflow will be added to all customers currently paying $99.95 a month immediately, if you are on a legacy or starter payment plan ($49.95 a month) you will need to upgrade to the $99.95 monthly fee.

Whilst the new workflow can be used immediately we do advise that you follow our guide on Getting Started to make the most out of the new software.

Getting Started User Guide

We will also be offering paid consulting on setting up the workflow for the Advanced Stores.  Included support for the new workflow module will be limited to the use of the modules rather than the advanced setup as this constitutes business process consulting.

New customers will be shown how to use the “Simple” version of the workflow and offered paid “Advanced” setup.

However in all of that you can set up the “Advanced” workflow yourself and configure it to your own business yourself.
