One of the most commonly asked feature requests is how to offer free delivery on your website. We have now added a series of new features which allows a number of options for offering free delivery:
- Make the suburb / postcode cost zero
- Add a coupon specifically for Free Delivery
- Add free delivery for a product
- Add free delivery for all products in a product category
There are different marketing strategies and messaging for offering free delivery and we have tried to offer the broadest number of use cases for this.
Make the suburb / postcode cost zero
The quickest and easiest option for free delivery is to enter a zero (0) amount for the delivery location/s and this will still allow you to limit your delivery areas and use same day suburb cut offs etc.
Add a coupon specifically for Free Delivery
You can add a discount coupon and tag the coupon as free delivery instead of a percentage or amount. The customer can then enter the coupon code in the shopping cart or checkout and the summary will then say “Free Delivery”.
Add free delivery for a product
If you would like to offer free delivery for a specific product you can choose the product to offer free delivery to along with the dates this offer is valid.
Add free delivery for all products in a product category
If you would like to offer free delivery for a specific product category you can choose the product category to offer free delivery to along with the dates this offer is valid.
