It’s been a few weeks to relax after the mayhem that always surrounds Valentine’s Day and I know of lot of you have taken some much needed time off.
We have however been quite busy responding to the requests that came in about how we could improve the software and add new features.
One big note to make is that we are building a new and very improved checkout experience that is in testing right now!
I’m expecting that this will be released towards the end of this month and you will be able to choose the “classic” or “enhanced” checkout for your website.
All the normal florist bells and whistles are still there, and you have full control over the user experience and which features you want to use.
We have though totally updated the Site Notice feature so it’s more useful for both notifications that you are not taking orders but also for potential marketing activities.
You now have far more control for setting a site notice and can have multiple site notices for your site.
Choose dates that a site notice will be visible
This is great if you are away on holidays specific dates and will not be delivering and need a site notice ONLY during those periods.
Frequency of the site notice visible
A common complaint of the original site notice functionality was that it appeared on every page every time a visitor viewed the site whilst active.
Now you can set the site notice to appear only once on the site!
Code your own
This is a bit of an advanced option but you will now be able to code and style the pop up window yourself. Or you can get us to design a special pop up just for your website!

We are going to design and build some pre-built marketing templates for you to use on site notices so you can drive more sales from the site and will add these in the coming months.
Please note that you need to re-publish your main template to have the new feature added to your website!
If you already use our Shopping feeds (under Marketing in your dashboard) you may have notice we have two new features.
One is the ability to create a custom Google shopping feed for your site and allows you to tag product with Google shopping custom feeds.
This is super useful if you are targeting more complex Google shopping strategies for long tail keywords. Think Mother Day product feeds or Flowers for Sympathy or Birthday Flowers.
The second is we have created a Feefo customer date export, again under Marketing :: Shopping Feeds (you need a Feefo account to use this feature).
